Vanilla Cake Recipe

This classic vanilla cake is soft and fluffy, perfect for any celebration!

  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour sifted
  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 4 large eggs at room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whole milk

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Mix in the vanilla extract. Alternate adding the flour and milk, beginning and ending with the flour, until just combined.
  • Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
