Turtle Cookies Recipe

Delicious turtle cookies with a rich chocolate, caramel, and pecan filling.

  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1 cup pecans chopped

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cream together butter and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture.
  • Stir in chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and pecans.
  • Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
