Tropical Fruit Shake A Refreshing Treat

A sunlit, vitamin-packed tropical fruit shake made with pink-hued papayas, fresh squeezed oranges, and bananas. This refreshing smoothie is naturally sweet, dairy-free, and perfect for a healthy breakfast or a cooling afternoon treat.

  • 1.5 cups fresh papaya (chilled)
  • 1 medium banana
  • 2 cups fresh squeezed orange juice from 3 to 4 large navel oranges
  • 0.5 squirt lime juice optional
  • 0.5 cup crushed ice optional

Preparation Steps

  • Squeeze the orange juice and set aside until you have two cups.
  • Place the cut up papaya, banana, and fresh orange juice into the blender and blend until smooth.
  • If you wish, add a squirt of fresh lime juice for extra zing.
  • Serve over crushed ice or keep chilled in the refrigerator for a frosty drink.

Notes

For a creamier texture, add a few ice cubes or use frozen banana. This smoothie is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Shake or blend again before serving if separation occurs.
