Tri-Tip Marinade

A flavorful marinade for tri-tip, perfect for grilling or smoking. This recipe uses a blend of soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, and herbs to create a tender and juicy result.

  • 1 cup Soy Sauce
  • 0.5 cup Worcestershire Sauce
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper ground

Preparation Steps

  • In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, olive oil, brown sugar, oregano, and black pepper.
  • Place the tri-tip in a resealable bag or a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it, ensuring all sides are coated.
  • Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
  • Grill or smoke the tri-tip according to your preferred method, until it reaches an internal temperature of 130-135°F for medium-rare.
  • Let the tri-tip rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a spicier marinade, add a pinch of red pepper flakes. You can also adjust the amount of brown sugar to your liking.
