Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
Stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 5 minutes.
In a baking dish, layer half of the crushed tortilla chips, followed by half of the ground beef mixture, and half of the shredded cheese.
Repeat layers: remaining chips, beef, and cheese.
Bake for 20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from oven and top with salsa and sour cream.
Notes
Serve immediately. Garnish with your favorite taco toppings like lettuce, tomatoes, and onions.
