Taco Casserole Recipe

A delicious and easy taco casserole recipe, perfect for a weeknight meal. Layers of seasoned ground beef, tortillas, cheese, and your favorite taco toppings baked to perfection.

  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 package Taco Seasoning
  • 0.75 cup Water
  • 8 ounces Tortilla Chips Crushed
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 cup Salsa
  • 1 cup Sour Cream

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • In a skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  • Stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • In a baking dish, layer half of the crushed tortilla chips, followed by half of the ground beef mixture, and half of the shredded cheese.
  • Repeat layers: remaining chips, beef, and cheese.
  • Bake for 20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from oven and top with salsa and sour cream.

Notes

Serve immediately. Garnish with your favorite taco toppings like lettuce, tomatoes, and onions.
