Strawberry Buttercream Frosting

This strawberry buttercream frosting is creamy, fruity, and perfect for any cake or cupcake topping.

  • 1.5 cups unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 0.5 cup strawberry puree fresh or frozen, blended
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt

Preparation Steps

  • In a large bowl, beat the butter until creamy and smooth.
  • Gradually add half of the powdered sugar, beating on low speed until combined.
  • Add the strawberry puree, vanilla extract, and salt. Beat until combined.
  • Gradually add the remaining powdered sugar and beat on medium-high speed until the frosting is fluffy and smooth.

Notes

Make sure the butter is at room temperature for best results. Adjust the thickness of the frosting by adding more powdered sugar or strawberry puree as needed.
