Spinach Meat Lasagna

This savory lasagna layered with spinach, meat, and ricotta cheese is a hearty meal that's perfect for family dinners.

  • 1.5 pounds ground beef lean
  • 9 pieces lasagna noodles cooked
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese divided
  • 10 ounces fresh spinach chopped
  • 2 cups marinara sauce

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese with Parmesan cheese, and half of the mozzarella.
  • Layer noodles, meat sauce, spinach, and cheese mixture in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Repeat layers, and top with remaining mozzarella.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.

Notes

Let the lasagna sit for 10 minutes before serving to allow it to set.
