Slow Cooker Shredded Beef

This slow-cooked shredded beef is perfect for tacos, sandwiches, or served with your favorite sides.

  • 2.5 lbs beef chuck roast trimmed of excess fat
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced

Preparation Steps

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the roast on all sides until browned.
  • Place the roast in the slow cooker. Add beef broth and minced garlic.
  • Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender and shreds easily.
  • Shred the beef using two forks, and serve.

Notes

Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper before serving. Serve with warm tortillas, rice, or steamed vegetables.
