A quick and easy classic Sloppy Joes recipe that's perfect for a weeknight meal. Tender ground beef in a savory tomato-based sauce served on soft buns.
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and bell pepper over medium-high heat until the beef is browned and the vegetables are tender. Drain off any excess grease.
Stir in the ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened.
Spoon the sloppy joe mixture onto the bottom halves of the hamburger buns. Top with the other half of the buns.
