Salted Caramel Cookies

These chewy salted caramel cookies are the perfect balance of sweet and salty. The caramel filling is rich and decadent, perfectly complemented by the crunchy edges of the cookie.

  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup salted caramel candies unwrapped

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the sugars, salt, and butter until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  • Gradually add the flour, mixing until just combined.
  • Stir in the unwrapped caramel candies.
  • Drop by rounded tablespoons onto the prepared baking sheets.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
