  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup salted caramel candies chopped

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the sugars and butter until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips and chopped caramel candies.
  • Spread the dough evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Let cool completely before cutting into bars.

Store leftover bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
