Decadent peppermint brownie truffles, perfect for the holidays! Rich chocolate brownie base infused with peppermint extract, rolled in crushed candy canes for a festive treat.

  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.25 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1 cup crushed candy canes

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8x8 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add milk, oil, vanilla extract, and peppermint extract. Mix until just combined.
  • Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  • Let cool completely before cutting into squares. Roll each square into a ball and coat with crushed candy canes.

Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
