Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8x8 inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt.
Add milk, oil, vanilla extract, and peppermint extract. Mix until just combined.
Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
Let cool completely before cutting into squares. Roll each square into a ball and coat with crushed candy canes.
Notes
Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
