Instructions
Preparation Steps
Cook the penne pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for about 30 seconds.
Stir in tomato sauce and heavy cream. Let simmer for 5 minutes.
Add the cooked penne pasta to the sauce and mix until well coated.
Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped basil leaves.
Notes
For added flavor, consider adding a splash of white wine to the sauce.
