Peach Cobbler Recipe

A classic peach cobbler recipe with a buttery, sweet crust and juicy peach filling. Perfect for a summer dessert!

  • 6 cups peeled and sliced fresh peaches
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup cold unsalted butter cut into cubes
  • 0.5 cup milk

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine peaches, 1 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, and cinnamon. Stir in lemon juice.
  • Pour peach mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 cup flour, 0.5 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Cut in cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Stir in milk until just combined.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the batter over the peach mixture.
  • Bake for 45 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
