Peach Cake Recipe

A delicious and moist peach cake recipe, perfect for summer. This recipe uses fresh peaches for maximum flavor.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in milk.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the peaches.
  • Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let cool completely before serving.

Notes

For a sweeter cake, add 1/2 cup more sugar. You can also use frozen peaches, but make sure to thaw and drain them before adding to the batter.
