Instructions
Preparation Steps
Cook macaroni according to package directions.
In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour until smooth.
Gradually whisk in milk until smooth. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly.
Reduce heat to low and stir in cheeses until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
Add cooked macaroni and stir to combine. Serve immediately.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use a combination of cheeses. You can also add cooked bacon or ham for extra protein.
