Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In a separate bowl, whisk together orange juice, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Stir in the orange zest.
Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let cool completely before frosting.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use freshly squeezed orange juice. You can also add a glaze or frosting to the cake once it has cooled.
