Preparation Steps
Combine heavy cream, milk, and sugar in a saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Let cool completely.
Pour mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer's instructions.
Transfer ice cream to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use whole milk and heavy cream. You can also add other flavors, such as chocolate, strawberry, or coconut.
