Preparation Steps

  • Combine heavy cream, milk, and sugar in a saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved.
  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Let cool completely.
  • Pour mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer's instructions.
  • Transfer ice cream to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use whole milk and heavy cream. You can also add other flavors, such as chocolate, strawberry, or coconut.
