Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook macaroni according to package directions.
  • In a saucepan, melt butter. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk until smooth.
  • Stir in cheeses, salt, and pepper until melted and smooth. Add cooked macaroni and stir to combine.
  • Pour macaroni and cheese into a greased baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg or cayenne pepper.
