  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Stir in lemon zest. Spread batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let cool completely in the pan before dusting with powdered sugar and cutting into bars.

Store leftover bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
