  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour sifted
  • 0.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cups unsalted butter softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.5 cups lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • 1 cup powdered sugar for dusting

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in lemon juice and zest.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Drop by rounded tablespoons onto the prepared baking sheets.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

These lemon blossoms are best served fresh. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature.
