Jam-Filled Oatmeal Bars

These chewy oatmeal bars are filled with a sweet and tart homemade jam, making them the perfect treat for breakfast or a snack.

  • 1.5 cups rolled oats
  • 0.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cups packed brown sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cups unsalted butter, melted
  • 0.5 cups jam

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  • Stir in melted butter until well combined.
  • Press half of the oat mixture into the prepared pan.
  • Spread jam evenly over the oat layer.
  • Top with remaining oat mixture and press down firmly.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Let cool completely before cutting into bars.

Notes

Store leftover bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
