Italian Cannoncini Recipe

These delicate Italian pastries are filled with a creamy custard and dusted with powdered sugar. A perfect treat for any occasion!

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups Water
  • 1 tablespoon Butter melted
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 cups Custard filling recipe to follow

Preparation Steps

  • In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Make a well in the center and gradually add water and melted butter. Mix until a smooth dough forms.
  • Roll out the dough thinly and cut into 4 inch wide strips. Wrap each strip around a cannoncini cone.
  • Bake at 375°F for 20 minutes until golden brown. Once cooled, fill with custard.

Notes

These are best served fresh. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature.
