Instructions
Preparation Steps
Turn on the Instant Pot and select the Sauté function. Add the butter and allow it to melt.
Add sliced onions and stir occasionally, letting them caramelize for about 10 minutes.
Add the sugar and continue to stir until the onions are a deep golden brown.
Pour in the beef broth and add the thyme. Secure the lid and set the Instant Pot to Pressure Cook on high for 15 minutes.
Once cooking is complete, carefully release the pressure and serve hot.
Notes
For added flavor, top each bowl with a slice of toasted baguette and melted Gruyère cheese.
