Ice Cream Chocolate Chip Cookies

A delightful combination of rich chocolate chip cookies and smooth vanilla ice cream.

  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time.
  • Gradually blend in the flour mixture.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips.
  • Drop rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Allow cookies to cool before serving with your favorite ice cream.

Notes

For best results, chill cookie dough for at least one hour before baking.
