Hamburger Seasoning Recipe

This homemade hamburger seasoning blend is the secret to juicy, flavorful burgers every time. Easy to mix and perfect for grilling or pan-frying.

  • 1.5 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon salt kosher salt preferred
  • 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional, for a little heat

Preparation Steps

  • In a small bowl, combine all of the ingredients: paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper (if using).
  • Whisk the ingredients together until well combined. You can also put them in a small jar and shake well.
  • Store the seasoning mix in an airtight container at room temperature. It will last for several months.
  • When ready to make burgers, use about 1-2 tablespoons of the seasoning per pound of ground beef. Mix gently into the meat just before forming patties.

This seasoning is versatile and can also be used on other meats like chicken or pork, or even sprinkled on roasted vegetables.
