Grasshopper Pie Recipe

Grasshopper Pie is a delicious, minty, and chocolaty dessert that's perfect for any occasion.

  • 1.5 cups chocolate wafer crumbs finely crushed
  • 0.25 cups butter melted
  • 1 cup heavy cream whipped to soft peaks
  • 0.5 cup creme de menthe green variety preferred
  • 0.25 cup creme de cacao white variety preferred
  • 3 teaspoons gelatin unflavored

Preparation Steps

  • Mix chocolate wafer crumbs and melted butter. Press into a 9-inch pie pan to form a crust.
  • Dissolve gelatin in a small amount of boiling water. Let it cool slightly.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine creme de menthe, creme de cacao, and dissolved gelatin. Fold in whipped cream.
  • Pour filling into the prepared crust. Refrigerate until firm, about 4 hours.

Notes

For a more intense mint flavor, add extra creme de menthe.
