  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  • Drop by rounded tablespoons onto the prepared baking sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
