Funeral Potatoes

Creamy, cheesy Funeral Potatoes, a classic casserole perfect for potlucks and holidays. This recipe features crispy tater tots, a rich sauce, and plenty of cheese.

  • 4 cups Tater Tots Frozen tater tots work best.
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black Pepper

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Add tater tots and stir until well coated.
  • Pour mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Bake for 30 minutes, or until golden brown and heated through.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding a sprinkle of paprika or a layer of crispy fried onions on top before baking.
