These Frosted Sugar Cookie Bars are the perfect blend of soft, chewy cookie and creamy frosting.

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 cup butter softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup frosting store-bought or homemade

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and baking powder.
  • In a large bowl, beat the butter until creamy. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and beat until combined.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until well combined.
  • Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  • Bake for 20 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Allow the bars to cool completely before spreading frosting on top.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature ingredients.
