Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Cut or tear the bread into 1-inch cubes and place into the prepared baking dish.
In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Pour the egg mixture over the bread cubes, ensuring all pieces are well coated.
Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is set.
Notes
For a sweeter topping, sprinkle more sugar on top before baking.
