Preparation Steps
In a large skillet, brown the sausage meat over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
Add the sliced onions to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in the beef broth and thyme and simmer for 5 minutes.
Season with salt to taste. Let the mixture cool completely.
Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Spread the cooled sausage and onion mixture evenly over the pastry.
Roll up the pastry tightly into a log. Cut into 1-inch slices.
Place the sausage rolls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
Notes
Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
