Flag Cake Recipe

A delicious and festive cake perfect for patriotic celebrations, decorated to resemble a flag.

  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour sifted
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well with each addition.
  • Gradually add the flour and mix well. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool.

Notes

Decorate with frosting and berries to resemble a flag.
