  • 0.5 cup butter softened
  • 0.75 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1.25 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1.5 cup red, white, and blue candy-coated chocolates

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Mix in vanilla extract and instant vanilla pudding mix until smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, combine flour and baking soda. Gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well.
  • Fold in the candy-coated chocolates.
  • Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake for 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are golden.

Notes

For added festivity, sprinkle extra candy-coated chocolates on top of the cookies before baking.
