  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour sifted
  • 1 cup unsalted butter cold and diced
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 lemons, juiced and zested fresh
  • 4 eggs fresh
  • 1 cup sugar

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, combine flour, powdered sugar, and butter. Mix until crumbly.
  • Press the mixture into tart pans to form a crust.
  • Bake the crusts for 10 minutes or until lightly golden.
  • In another bowl, whisk together eggs, lemon juice, lemon zest, and sugar.
  • Pour the lemon mixture into the partially baked crusts.
  • Bake for an additional 15 minutes until the filling is set.
  • Let cool before serving.

Notes

Serve with a sprinkle of powdered sugar or a dollop of whipped cream, if desired.
