Instructions
Preparation Steps
Combine tomatoes, tomato paste, garlic, onion, Italian seasoning, salt, and oregano in a food processor. Process until a thick sauce forms, about twice the consistency of pasta sauce.
Cut the French loaf in half lengthwise. Then cut each half lengthwise again, creating four open-faced bread halves.
Spread a generous amount of pizza sauce onto each bread half.
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce on each bread half. Arrange pepperoni slices on top of the cheese.
For Air Fryer: Place the pizzas in the air fryer basket and cook at 350°F (175°C) for 6-8 minutes, or until the crust is crisp and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
For Oven: Place the pizzas on a foil-lined baking sheet. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted. You can broil for the last 1-2 minutes for extra browning on the cheese.
Serve hot, optionally topped with grated Parmesan cheese or red pepper flakes.
