  • 0.5 cup whole stewed tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon dry minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon dry minced onion
  • 2 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon oregano

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese chopped finer for better melt

  • 1 loaf French loaf

Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Combine tomatoes, tomato paste, garlic, onion, Italian seasoning, salt, and oregano in a food processor. Process until a thick sauce forms, about twice the consistency of pasta sauce.
  • Cut the French loaf in half lengthwise. Then cut each half lengthwise again, creating four open-faced bread halves.
  • Spread a generous amount of pizza sauce onto each bread half.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce on each bread half. Arrange pepperoni slices on top of the cheese.
  • For Air Fryer: Place the pizzas in the air fryer basket and cook at 350°F (175°C) for 6-8 minutes, or until the crust is crisp and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • For Oven: Place the pizzas on a foil-lined baking sheet. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted. You can broil for the last 1-2 minutes for extra browning on the cheese.
  • Serve hot, optionally topped with grated Parmesan cheese or red pepper flakes.
