Easy Beer Bread Recipe

This is an incredibly easy and delicious beer bread recipe that requires no yeast and comes together in minutes. Perfect for beginners!

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 can (12 ounce) beer, room temperature lager or ale recommended
  • 0.25 cup melted butter

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  • Pour the beer into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.

  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
  • Pour the melted butter over the top of the batter.

  • Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

This bread is fantastic served warm with butter. It's also great alongside soups or stews.
