  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.75 cup unsweetened cocoa powder preferably dark
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup butter melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips optional

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder.
  • In a separate large bowl, combine melted butter and sugar. Stir in eggs and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until well combined.
  • Fold in dark chocolate chips, if using.
  • Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Cool in pan on a wire rack before slicing and serving.

Notes

Let the brownies cool completely for easier cutting.
