  • 1 large sweet potato peeled and grated
  • 0.5 cup red onion finely chopped
  • 0.25 cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon turmeric
  • 0.25 teaspoon cayenne pepper or to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Preparation Steps

  • In a large bowl, combine the chickpea flour, grated sweet potato, red onion, cilantro, cumin, turmeric, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the mixture into the hot oil and flatten slightly.
  • Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
