These adorable and delicious Cookie Dough Footballs are the perfect no-bake treat for game day! Easy to make with edible cookie dough, dipped in chocolate, and decorated with white chocolate laces, they're always a crowd-pleaser.
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. About 2-3 minutes
Add in the vanilla extract and mix until combined.
Add in the flour and salt. Mix until just combined.
Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
Use a 1.5 tablespoon cookie scoop to scoop out the dough and shape them into footballs. Place on a plate or cookie sheet and chill for 1-2 hours.
Melt the chocolate according to package directions.
Dip each chilled football into the melted chocolate, covering completely. Tap off excess chocolate.
Place dipped footballs on parchment paper to dry.
Once dry, melt the white chocolate and drizzle laces onto the footballs.
Let the white chocolate dry completely and serve. Store in an airtight container.
Notes
These are best enjoyed at room temperature. For heat-treating the flour, spread it on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes, stirring halfway, until it reaches 160°F (71°C).
