Classic Patty Melt
A juicy beef patty, melted cheese, and caramelized onions all nestled between two slices of grilled rye bread. This classic Patty Melt is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser!

Instructions
Preparation Steps
Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain excess grease.
In the same skillet, melt butter and saute onions until caramelized.
Butter one side of each slice of rye bread. Grill bread in a skillet or panini press until golden brown.
Assemble the Patty Melt: Place cooked beef on one slice of bread, top with caramelized onions and cheese. Cover with other slice of bread.
Grill the assembled sandwich until the cheese is melted and the bread is toasted.
Notes
Serve immediately with your favorite condiments, such as ketchup, mustard, or mayonnaise.
