Cinnamon Cookies Recipe

These soft and chewy cinnamon cookies are easy to make and perfect for any occasion. The warm spice of cinnamon combined with the sweetness of sugar makes them irresistible.

  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 0.75 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 0.5 cup Packed Brown Sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 3 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  • Beat in eggs, then add the vanilla.
  • Dissolve baking soda in hot water and add this to the batter along with the flour, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Stir until just combined.
  • Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are nicely browned.
  • Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
