  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 15x10 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time, then stir in the milk.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix until just combined.
  • Spread batter evenly into the prepared pan. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle evenly over the batter.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let cool completely before rolling up with frosting.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature ingredients. You can also add nuts or raisins to the filling for extra flavor.
