Christmas Toffee Recipe

  • 1 cup Sugar Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup Butter Unsalted butter
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips Semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation Steps

  • In a saucepan, combine sugar and butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until butter is melted and sugar is dissolved.
  • Bring to a boil, without stirring, until mixture reaches 300°F (150°C) on a candy thermometer.
  • Remove from heat and carefully pour in heavy cream. Stir until smooth.
  • Stir in salt and chocolate chips until melted and combined.
  • Pour onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and let cool completely before breaking into pieces.

Notes

Store toffee in an airtight container at room temperature.
