Instructions
Preparation Steps
In a saucepan, combine sugar and butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until butter is melted and sugar is dissolved.
Bring to a boil, without stirring, until mixture reaches 300°F (150°C) on a candy thermometer.
Remove from heat and carefully pour in heavy cream. Stir until smooth.
Stir in salt and chocolate chips until melted and combined.
Pour onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and let cool completely before breaking into pieces.
Notes
Store toffee in an airtight container at room temperature.
