Christmas Cookie Bars

These festive Christmas Cookie Bars are perfect for holiday gatherings! Easy to make and delicious to eat.

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix until just combined.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts (if using).
  • Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let cool completely before cutting into bars.

Store leftover bars in an airtight container at room temperature.
