  • 1 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cup packed brown sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, brown sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, cream together butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Stir in the shredded coconut and chocolate chips.
  • Drop by rounded tablespoons onto the prepared baking sheets.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are set.
  • Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
