Chocolate Chip Walnut Bars

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup chocolate chips semi-sweet
  • 1 cup walnuts chopped

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract.
  • Add eggs to the butter mixture one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts.
  • Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.

Notes

These bars can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
