  • 0.5 cup sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract, then gradually add the flour, mixing until a smooth dough forms.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Scoop tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Cool on a wire rack.

Notes

Ensure the butter is at room temperature for easy mixing.
