Preparation Steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Stir in the vanilla extract, then gradually add the flour, mixing until a smooth dough forms.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Scoop tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Cool on a wire rack.
