Cherry Coke Poke Cake

A delicious and moist cake infused with cherry flavor and topped with a delightful cherry cola glaze.

  • 1 box devil's food cake mix follow package instructions for baking
  • 1.5 cups Cherry Coke use to mix into cake
  • 1 cups maraschino cherry juice reserve cherries for topping
  • 8 oz whipped topping thawed

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to the temperature specified on the cake mix box.
  • Prepare the devil's food cake mix according to package instructions, substituting water with Cherry Coke.
  • Pour the cake batter into a greased 13x9 inch baking pan and bake as directed.
  • Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
  • Poke holes in the top of the cake using the handle of a wooden spoon.
  • Pour the maraschino cherry juice over the cake, allowing it to seep into the holes.
  • Spread the thawed whipped topping over the cake.

Notes

For an extra cherry kick, garnish with additional maraschino cherries on top.
