Instructions
Preparation Steps
Preheat your oven to the temperature specified on the cake mix box.
Prepare the devil's food cake mix according to package instructions, substituting water with Cherry Coke.
Pour the cake batter into a greased 13x9 inch baking pan and bake as directed.
Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
Poke holes in the top of the cake using the handle of a wooden spoon.
Pour the maraschino cherry juice over the cake, allowing it to seep into the holes.
Spread the thawed whipped topping over the cake.
Notes
For an extra cherry kick, garnish with additional maraschino cherries on top.
