Cheeseburger Spring Rolls

Crispy spring rolls stuffed with a savory cheeseburger filling, perfect for an appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds ground beef 85% lean
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 package spring roll wrappers about 20 sheets
  • 0.5 cup onion finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon mustard dijon or yellow
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 0.25 teaspoon pepper to taste

Preparation Steps

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned.
  • Stir in chopped onion, mustard, ketchup, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  • Remove from heat, drain excess fat, and let cool slightly.
  • Mix in shredded cheddar cheese until well combined.
  • Place about 2 tablespoons of filling onto each spring roll wrapper and wrap tightly.
  • Heat oil in a deep fryer or skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry spring rolls until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per batch.
  • Drain on paper towels and serve hot.

Notes

For a variation, try adding pickles or bacon to the filling before wrapping.
